We first laid out a sketch of the mechanical structure. The dimensions were selected based on real sized turnstiles.
After sketching the overall structure, we moved on to modelling the individual pieces on SketchUp.
Once the pieces were modeled, they were crafted using a 6mm thick MDF board. The turnstile bars were made with broom handles.
The locking mechanism cog was made out of PVC.
